1. Who we are
CryptoNiteNews ("we", "us", "the site") is an independent crypto news and educational platform. This policy explains what information we handle when you use the site and why.
2. Information we collect
The site is a static frontend and does not require an account. Information may be handled in these ways:
- Information you submit. If you use the Scam Radar report form, a tip form, or the newsletter signup, you may provide a link, a description, a category, and optionally your email address.
- Technical data. Like most websites, the hosting provider may log standard request data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited.
- Local browser state. Some on-page features (such as saved or upvoted headlines) may be stored only in your browser for the current session.
3. Third-party services
To deliver news and market data, the site loads content from third parties, each with its own privacy practices:
- CoinGecko — live market prices for the ticker and markets sidebar.
- RSS-to-JSON proxy and crypto publisher feeds — headlines for The Wire and Regulation Watch.
- Reddit — public RSS feeds for Community Pulse.
- Google Fonts and a CSS CDN — typography and styling.
When your browser requests these resources, those providers may receive your IP address and request metadata. We do not control their data practices.
4. How we use information
Submitted information is used to review tips and scam reports, to operate the newsletter if you opt in, and to maintain and improve the site. We do not sell personal information.
5. Cookies and analytics
The MVP does not set advertising cookies. If analytics or cookies are added later, this policy will be updated to describe them and any choices available to you.
6. Data retention
Submitted reports and tips are kept only as long as needed to review them and to maintain a record of safety alerts. Newsletter contacts are kept until you unsubscribe.
7. Your choices
You can submit tips anonymously by leaving the email field blank. If you joined the newsletter, you can unsubscribe at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access or delete information you provided — contact us to make a request.
8. Children
The site is not directed to children and is intended for an adult audience.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
10. Contact
Questions about this policy can be sent through the contact channel listed on the site.
